I don't know about you, but I'm in love with this Keep Calm craze!! When I first started seeing it everywhere, I had no idea the historical significance behind the poster. Like most Gen Y kids, I assume we created everything we see :0) Not totally true, but you know...! LOL
So, if you are like me and have no idea where this originated... here's a little history:
The Keep Calm and Carry On poster originated in 1939 and was created by the British government as a means of control over the panic and ensuing chaos WWII was bringing to England. It featured the phrase along with a crown. Unfortunately, the government never publicly released the poster but a copy was found in 2000 and has since been a coveted poster. Variations of the phrase and icon can be found all over the internet.
Since I love dance, and I love that my baby girl is in ballet... I wanted a Keep Calm and Dance On poster, so this is what I made:
Love the dancer I used on this, one of my fave silhouettes ever! I want to print this for Reagan's room :0)
